December 27th homeward bound

After a great few days in the Lake District DH and I left behind the snow on the tops of the hills

We passed the pub we had our honeymoon in 43 years ago

Then went through an almost white-out on the top of Kirkstone pass over the Pennines.

By the time we hit the North East coast the sun was shining but before I thought to take a photograph it was disappearing, just a glow left over the roof tops.
