Yes it is really Summer. Despite the rain, wind and cold of the North East coast of England, we have had some glorious days. The rain has encouraged my garden to grow – with a little help, the wind blows away a few of those cobwebs that have been lurking in my house and the cold spells have enabled me to curl up and think about being creative.

So what are you doing? You ask? Visiting exhibitions, doing courses as a student and promoting my own mini exhibition in our local branch library.

Above each picture is a link, click on it to see something other than my pictures😄😎

I am an avid course member. I will go to as many embroidery/craft course as I can.

In the past I have taken night classes and day classes, I took an Open University degree in my twenties!. I have taught adults basic computing and I love passing on knowledge and skills to others.

You might say I am a course junkie.

The whole point of starting this post is that I have just come back from a course that I helped to organise. I had a lovely time, with lovely people in a place where I did not have to think about cooking, or making the bed or doing the washing.

Thank you North East Region of the Embroiderers’ Guild.

corrected-mistletoe.JPGFinished my Mistletoe SAL this morning but made a big mistake so had to redo some of the berries which were misplaced – typical me – they seem to be correct now. This design is from Loopylou Designs. Others are doing Holly berry which looks similar, but with different berries, threads and fabrics.
